From the track
to the platform
TrotBooks comes from people who’ve spent their mornings at the barn. We watched trainers run an entire stable out of a notebook and a stack of receipts, and figured we could do better.
Our mission
Standardbred trainers do the hardest part of the job before sunrise. The business side (billing, record-keeping, owner updates) usually gets done in scraps of time at the kitchen table afterward. We’re building the tools to make that part of the work fit how a stable actually runs.
Born in the barn
TrotBooks was born in the barn, not in a boardroom. Every feature comes from a problem we ran into at the track.
Keep it simple
Racing is complicated enough. The software shouldn’t add a second job.
Show owners the books
When owners can pull up their bills and race results without asking, you spend a lot less time on the phone.
Meet the team
A trainer/driver and an engineer building the tool they wish existed.

Kim Verheyleweghen
Co-Founder & CEO
Kim brings firsthand experience from the racetrack to TrotBooks. A standardbred harness racing trainer/driver with years in the bike and in the barn, she knows the daily grind of training, racing, and managing a stable, from morning workouts to late-night race cards. That hands-on background shaped TrotBooks into the tool she always wished existed: one that handles the business side so trainers can stay focused on their horses. Kim leads product vision and ensures every feature solves a real problem that horsemen actually face.

Charlie DiGiovanna
Co-Founder & CTO
Charlie is a software engineer with a career built around live events. He brings his experience crafting polished, intuitive UIs that power millions of ticket transactions at SeatGeek to TrotBooks, where that same product discipline is applied to the racetrack, building reliable software that just works, even when you’re checking invoices from the paddock between races.
